RideGo Methodology – How Ride Profitability Is Calculated

Official RideGo methodology for comparing ride offers: total time, total distance, earnings per hour, earnings per distance, estimated vehicle cost and estimated profit.

1. Total time

RideGo treats the full time commitment as the useful comparison base when the required data is available: time to reach the rider plus the estimated ride time.

total_time = pickup_time + trip_time

2. Total distance

When both components are available, total distance includes the distance to the rider and the estimated trip distance.

total_distance = pickup_distance + trip_distance

3. Earnings per hour

This metric normalizes the offered price to the total estimated time so that offers of different durations can be compared on the same basis.

earnings_per_hour = offer_price × 60 ÷ total_minutes

4. Earnings per distance

This metric divides the offered price by total distance. The displayed unit follows the relevant distance convention when supported.

earnings_per_distance = offer_price ÷ total_distance

5. Estimated vehicle cost

RideGo can apply a user-defined vehicle-cost value to the estimated total distance. This is an estimate, not an accounting result.

estimated_vehicle_cost = cost_per_distance × total_distance

6. Estimated profit

Estimated profit is the offered price minus the vehicle-cost estimate used by RideGo. It should not be interpreted as net accounting profit or tax advice.

estimated_profit = offer_price − estimated_vehicle_cost

What RideGo does not claim

RideGo does not guarantee final earnings, traffic, route duration, future demand or tax results. Values depend on the information available in the ride offer, route estimates, user settings and platform/country conditions. RideGo is an analysis tool; the driver makes the final decision.

This methodology page describes the calculation framework. Aggregate market statistics should only be published separately when they are based on real, anonymized RideGo data and accompanied by a sample size, period and methodology.
