What does RideGo Voice do?

When RideGo detects a compatible ride offer and calculates its value, Voice can announce the selected indicator, such as the value per hour, kilometre or mile. It complements the calculation card; it does not accept or reject the offer for you.

For example, an announcement such as “48 per hour” communicates a rate, not a promise that you will earn 48 during the next hour. Actual earnings also depend on waiting, traffic, vehicle costs and the rides you complete. Choose the indicator and unit that make sense for your work before you go online.

How can voice help with attention?

Hearing a relevant number can reduce the need to look at the calculation card just to read that number. This is the practical benefit RideGo Voice is designed to offer: an audio alternative to reading the screen.

The European Road Safety Observatory identifies distraction as a road risk and highlights the danger of activities that take a driver’s eyes away from the road. This supports taking visual distraction seriously; it is not evidence that RideGo itself reduces crashes.

Audio can also demand attention. We have not measured a reduction in accidents from using RideGo Voice, and voice alerts do not make it safe to interact with a phone while driving. Keep traffic, pedestrians and the road ahead as your priority.

Android

Enable Voice in RideGo and complete the app’s setup for reading compatible offers and displaying the calculation card. Voice depends on an offer being detected and calculated. It cannot announce information that RideGo has not recognised.

iPhone and iPad

The iOS setup uses screen broadcasting to make offer analysis available, with the calculation card shown through Picture in Picture when enabled. Voice provides an audible indicator for detected offers. Follow the current in-app setup for broadcasting, display and voice; starting PiP and starting screen broadcasting are distinct steps.

The current iOS version also includes an adjustable delay before Uber voice alerts to reduce overlap with the incoming-offer sound. It announces the value and unit without reading the currency name. Phone settings and other apps can affect audio playback, so test the output you actually use.

Set it up before you leave

1. Park safely. Open RideGo and select your market, distance unit, vehicle costs and preferred evaluation indicator.
2. Enable Voice and offer reading. Complete the permissions or broadcasting steps shown for your phone.
3. Check the audio output. Test the voice through your phone or car speakers. Choose a clear, comfortable volume that still lets you hear your surroundings.
4. Check timing. If your iOS version offers the Uber delay setting, test it while parked with the alert sounds you normally use.

If you miss an announcement, keep your attention on the road. Do not chase the offer by changing settings or repeatedly looking at the phone while moving. Make adjustments after stopping in a safe place.

Useful information, with the driver in control

RideGo Voice and the calculation card help present the information available in a compatible offer. Recognition can vary with the market, driver app, offer layout and phone configuration. An active reading indicator does not guarantee that every offer has been recognised.

Whether the offer comes from a compatible Uber or Bolt flow, the driver remains responsible for the decision and for driving attentively. RideGo is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Uber, Bolt, Lyft or FREENOW.
